Keeping your standards high taking too much energy?
There is a Better Way.
Your standards aren’t too high—that’s what’s made you successful. But you can’t continue holding it together on the backs of a few people who wear more hats than they should.
Succeeding through sheer force of will is no way to live.
You’re getting great results, but burning too many calories getting there. Issues are caught because one person remembers how everything works. You wake up on the regular with your heart racing, thinking of that one thing you’ve got to remember to tell the team when they get in. There are lots of “please remember to…” Slack posts flying around…with the same ones being posted next month, and the month after that, and the month after that.
The problem is not lack of know-how, and it’s not lack of want-to. The problem is processes that leave it up to “someone remembers to do the thing”. And eventually, when people have enough things to remember to do, something slips. Watching every task like a hawk to catch those slips is costing you too much energy that could be put to better use talking to your clients, being creative, or developing your team.

The Better Way Workshop
You know what great looks like. You’re just tired of exhausting yourself and your team to get there. There is a better way.
The Workshop
A 90 minute call with me, for you and up to 2 other leaders on your team
We’ll walk through everything you and your team are doing to keep things running, your hunches, what you’ve considered, and what’s one glossed-over Slack message from a slipup.
No lectures or judgment; you know your business and you’re the expert on it. I’m here to provide a listening ear from someone who’s worked with hundreds of organizations over 20+ years.
What this means
Regardless of what comes up in the workshop, I’ll spend time absorbing and processing it, then write up my findings. They might be surprisingly simple: a process that needs to change, a tool you should buy, two systems that need to talk to each other, something worth automating, or something custom-built around the way your business actually works.
And sometimes, the answer is to stop spending energy on it altogether.
The Result
Within about a week, we’ll have a 60-minute live walkthrough covering:
The top three decision points and my recommendation on each: Pass, Buy, or Build.
What to tackle first.
Likely cost estimates where I can, and a reason why if I’m saying Pass.
A clear plan to tame the overwhelm without sacrificing your high standards. Maybe that means us working together. Maybe it doesn’t. Sometimes all you need is an outside lens to point you in the right direction. I’m happy to be of service because I know this struggle myself.

I assume if it were obvious you would have figured it out too. That's kind of the point. I see this in our own company: the things that are obvious from the outside can be surprisingly hard to see when you're the person making the system work every day. The decisions I recommend aren’t obvious to most people, but because I’ve worked with hundreds of clients over 20+ years, the patterns jump out at me when they wouldn’t to most people.

Yes. You don’t have to know what to ask, that’s my job. I’ll lead you through a conversation where all you have to do is show up and share. Most clients say it’s refreshing and is a relief to get to talk about their business in a different way.
-
That’s not really a question, but it’s a valid statement. The good news is, you are still in control of your business or department. My job is to listen to you, understand what’s most important to you and what makes this business special to you, and figure out how to give you more of that and less of the drain and overwhelm. That’s getting control back from the tasks you’re chained to, not giving up control.
-
Yes, a big part of our job at People-Friendly Tech is being what we call ‘business and technology therapists’ — helping everyone agree on a direction forward, knowing the answer will involve tradeoffs and yet it's in the best interests of all. I’ll bring all of that toolkit to our session. If you have internal disagreement, bring that to your session. We’ll air it out and sort it out.

I believe strongly that custom software can make a huge difference for companies when deployed for the right situation, in the right way, at the right cost. That said, I’ve built trust over the years saying no more often than I say yes, telling people when custom software isn’t the best fit for what they want to do, when they could do it less expensively or for a better return in a different way. That’s why there are three options: Pass, Buy, Build. I’ll give you the straight answer, and if I recommend a Build, it’s because I genuinely find it’s your best option.
Who is this workshop for?
I want you to have the best workshop experience possible. Here’s who will likely get the most out of this workshop—and who won’t.
This workshop IS for:
Business owners and leaders with decision-making power.
Visionaries who are getting strong results but at too high a cost (in literal dollars, in energy, or both).
Leaders who have seen enough pain to be ready to consider change, even if they don’t know what the answer is yet.
Those who have said “we can’t go on like this,” 22 minutes before crushing another meeting.
This workshop is NOT for:
Entry-level or mid-level team members. If you aren’t empowered to make decisions or control budget, this workshop won’t help you.
Those at organizations that have not figured out how to produce a quality product or service. If you’re still working out your offering, focus there first.
Organizations that are not motivated to change anything. If you want to keep things the same, you don’t need to pay anyone to tell you how to do that.
