Product Strategy & Design Team
Erin Rollenhagen
Founder, CEO
Erin began her career as a programmer working on government projects, before she realized that software needed not only bits and bytes, but a deep understanding of the user and their motivations.
She founded People-Friendly Tech in 2007. Although she stopped coding many years ago, she still enjoys designing software and poking her nose into development conversations.
In 2019, Erin published the book Soul Uprising: It’s Never Just Business about her experiences starting a tech company amid the chaos of a recession, and how ET has come to thrive on a culture of purpose and sustainability.
Erin has strategized and designed software that has been involved in 4 successful acquisitions, numerous investment rounds, and has served tens of millions of delightful user experiences.
Tony L.
Product Design Lead
Tony is passionate about solving problems. To him, design is more than a pretty wrapper around functionality. The value in effective design is the ability to understand and articulate the problem and turn that into a solution that succeeds.
With experience as a software engineer, product designer, and UX consultant across a variety of industries from automotive to finance, Tony has a unique skillset that allows him to understand projects from the perspective of the business, the developer, and the user. Keeping that big picture in view ensures he’s focused on creating simple, intuitive products that satisfy the goals of the product and the needs of everyone involved.
Kat B.
Customer Success Manager
Kat has several years of experience in Customer Success in tech start ups, and has developed a passion for helping businesses use technology to achieve their goals and reach their fullest potential.
She enjoys being a part of the tech industry, particularity because she gets to see the creativity and unique ideas that people bring to the table. Being part of the journey that helps make those ideas a reality is something that she deeply values and love to be a part of.
Throughout her career, she has worked closely with Product, QA and Marketing teams, and also has a interest in information architecture - one of her favorite projects to date involved redoing a large knowledge base to make it more easily accessible to users.
Atoro L.
Product Designer
Atoro is a driven designer, captivated by the workings of human perception and the underlying motivations that drive people. What truly ignites his heart in the UX process is delving beneath the surface of a design challenge and crafting solutions with real impact.
Beyond design, Atoro’s career spans intelligence analysis in the Marine Corps and civilian world, leading cybersecurity response teams in the financial sector, guiding marketing campaigns, and a decade as an international dance instructor. In every iteration of his professional life his drive has remained understanding and empathizing with people.
Development Team
Our fully remote, 100% U.S.-based development team is the best in the business. We are proud of their skill, commitment, dedication, problem-solving and attention to detail. They attract quite a bit of unwanted attention from recruiters, so we keep their information off of here to respect their wishes on privacy.
The development team consists of 9 engineers: 3 senior engineers, 4 full-stack engineers and 2 mobile front-end engineers.
Quality & Polishing Team
Quality and polishing responsibilities here aren’t limited to just those with ‘Quality’ in their title. We implement pull requests where every piece of code committed must go through a rigorous review of at least two other developers, including one senior engineer.
We develop detailed test plans to ensure quality, and polish by having real people look at them - after all, that’s who will be using them. It’s hard to make people-friendly tech shine without people.
Our dedicated tech team consists of a Lead Quality Engineer, a Quality Assurance Specialist and a Mobile Quality Specialist.
Customer Support Team
Our customer support team are a group of dedicated, fast, friendly people who understand that outstanding customer support is the core of a great long-term relationship. They are proud of their track record of responding to most inquiries within 2 business hours.
The team includes our customer escalation advocate and four customer support advocates.

Bruno
Chief Morale Officer
Bruno is a little guy with a big heart. He puts his all into everything he does, especially greeting people. His all out sprint to welcome a new friend or a longtime buddy has been likened to a torpedo just barely skimming the ground as he rushes to swarm his target with affection.
Bruno’s life was going pretty great until suddenly he got a new baby sister. While he still isn’t sure about sharing his treats, he’s enjoying showing little sister Scarlett the ins and outs of being an office corgi.
His favorite thing is being petted on the top of his head and told he’s a good boy.
Scarlett
Queen of Everything
Scarlett is a small but mighty protégé who excels at napping, cuddling, and upselling the belly rub when you go in for a head pat. Due to her talents at getting her way while making you smile, she’s considering a career in B2B sales but for now can most often be found napping in unusual places such as on a table leg.
Her favorite game is attacking whatever her big brother Bruno is chewing on.
In Memory of Lucy
The Original Boss Lady
Lucy was a power player who always brought the noise to daily standups. Her duties included greeting visitors, tail (bob) chasing, and chewing on anything within 10" of the floor. She was also a phenom with Visual FoxPro.
Her favorite thing was food, any kind (she once ate an entire roast beef sandwich off of someone’s desk) but she also loved to show off her tug-of-war skills.
Lucy faithfully guarded our office until her final days and will forever have a place in our hearts.
